The Killarney Shamrocks will face the Winkler Royals in this year's Provincial 'A' Final. The teams will play a best-of-3 final to determine the champion. Game times are as follows:
Game 1: Thursday, April 2nd - 8:00PM - @ Killarney
Game 2: Thursday, April 9th - 7:30 PM - @ Winkler
Game 3: Sunday, April 12th - 6:00 PM - @ Killarney (if necessary)
The Killarney Shamrocks claimed their 2nd straight championship Thursday night, downing the Hartney Blues 3-1 in the fifth and deciding game of the series. The Shamrocks will now move on to face the winner of the SEMHL—the Winkler Royals or Ile de Chenes Northstars—in the Manitoba Provincal ‘A’ Final. Dates will be posted as soon as they get scheduled.
Killarney goaltender Brian Archibald was named playoff MVP. Archibald went 8-3 in the playoffs, with a sparkling 1.70 GAA and .941 save percentage, both tops in the league.
